Hello World,
I just wanted to take a moment to tell you all a little more about myself and how the Dent Reaper came into existence.
I started my Paintless Dent Repair career in 2010. Primarily working on dealer lots, as my skills in PDR advanced I graduated to more and more difficult repairs and soon found that I had more work than I could handle.
I noticed that in many scenarios I would have to utilize multiple tools to properly repair many door dings and other dents. There were a few specific tools that I always gravitated towards when my go to door tools failed to get the job done. This led me to imagining the first iterations of the Dent Reaper.
After having a crude prototype made by a local fabricator I knew the design would work, but had to improve on the build quality. I then had a CAD Drawing made and shopped that around to dozens of machine shops. The quotes I received back were disheartening to say the least, it would have taken massive investment to make my tool a reality.
THEN... I heard an episode of the PDR Tool Time Podcast that featured John and Maria Kallenbach from A-1 Tool. During their interview they discussed their willingness to work with PDR Technicians on possible tool designs. I contacted A-1 Tool shortly there after and after a few iterations the Dent Reaper was complete.
I am so grateful to the PDR Tool Time Podcast and A-1 Tool for helping me through this incredible journey as well as all of the great members of the Paintless Dent Repair community.
